Get To Know: “Bob Jeter”
“Virginia native Bob Jeter is a gifted Singer-Songwriter and Producer who creates Alternative Rock, Rap and Rhythm and Blues music. His love for music started when he first picked up a trumpet at the age of 5 and then a guitar when he was a teenager. Now that he’s older and (maybe a little) wiser, his tunes reflect his vast eclectic knowledge and experience.
Many of his songs were written while living in Paris and traveling abroad in Europe but he has continued to write music from his home in Atlanta, Georgia. Since moving to Atlanta, he has continued to create new music for his solo performances as well as for his bands JeterNTheJets (formed with his sons), JeterNCo, and The Ariel David Band as well as for other new projects and with various other collaborators and artists.
Through his record company, Stone Shot Records, Bob releases ear-pleasing tunes and albums. For the last 5 years of his career, Bob has concentrated on creating many social conscious tunes that reflect upon the rapidly changing world in which we live. Recently, he has released several new songs, including Wonder of You, Right to Fight (For Love), Innocent Children, High Time and Crazy Trapeze. His first EP as Bob Jeter is entitled Along For The Ride:
Along for The Ride features songs written by Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductees Buddy Buie, JR Cobb (The Atlanta Rhythm Section/Classics 4/ Roy Orbison), and Danny O’Keefe(“Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues”). Producer/Keyboardist Kenny Kirby (Sly & The Family Stone, Van Morrison/Linda Creed) was recently honored by the Alabama Hall of Fame as Music Achiever. Also featured are Fred Vigdor on sax (Michael McDonald/Average White Band) and another Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee: Ric Seymour on guitar (Wet Willie).
Some say Bob sounds like Southside Johnny, Savoy Brown, Neil Young, the young Bob Dylan. or Chris Stapleton but he is always developing new sounds and has a unique sound beyond compare.”
